Having survived the Norsemen and then the Inquisitors, the Companions have headed North, still tracking the killer Grecious. After a clever bit of forgery, they have entered the city and found it not particularly to their liking, with apparent slavery, rigid laws enforced with iron clubs, and suspicious guards.
And then things go from bad to worse...

The first of the pre-podcast offerings for The Inquisitors of Illem, setting the scene for the podcast which will run alongside The Companions which is already published to Episode 5 (S1E5 - Necksies and Handsies).
The Inquisitors' will be a much darker podcast, the characters being worshippers of the God of Punishment or the God of Obedience, and will show the true nature of the city including it's ruler and the State, as well as the influence of both Churches.

The party have headed North into Illem, tracking both Grecious and the skeletal footprints. As dusk began to fall, the temperature began to fall with it, and they realised they had no winter clothing or tents. However, a faint glow - perhaps from a fire or lit building - was seen in the East, and they headed off in that direction in search of respite.
When they reached the origin of the light, which was light from within a small farmhouse, they found many things amiss.
This episode has quie a bit of humour in it, and Leaf and Twig realises he isn't the only relative of giant-kind around...

After 'removing the evidence' of their almost-disasterous fight with the Illem Guard, the party meet back up with Reethos. Heading Northwards again, determined to catch up with Grecious, they encounter a chain gang and learn some more of what it means to live in Illem. They hear of the two state gods, the God of Obedience and the God of Punishment, and later that night encounter something quite horrific...

Moving Northwards from Chanstop, having passed on the message to Oylet (and burned down Dave's wagon), the party have said goodbye to Dave and Bil' and headed North after Grecious.
They haven't moved far when the encounter a patrol of Illem guard... and things just don't go well...

This is the second episode of The Companions, a D&D 5th Edition actual-play adventure.
After defeating the zombie and the two staff-wielding skeletons that drew the very life essence from living beings and turned them into small statues for some unknown reason, the party head North, both in search of Grecious and also as paid guards for Dave the merchant's wagon.
The fact the goods on the wagon are so very well covered makes Viktor very, very curious.

The first episode for publishing of The Companions, an actual-play Dungeons & Dragons campaign.
Leaf & Twig the Firbolg Ranger and Cid the Human Bloodhunter have become seperated from their companions and head off towards the kingdom of Illem to catch them up. Their companions themselves chase after a member of a possible cult, he had recently slain a half-elven lady in search of knowledge from the Tor of Anaroch Wood. Carmac the Dragonborn Warrior, Reethos the Teifling Bladelock and Viktor the Dhampir Bard could surely use their help as they encounter something from the Dhampir's recent past...
This first adventure is the beginning of an epic campaign that will see the adventurers face trials and as they struggle to survive the Dark Wind of Malvelous, become embroiled in fights against cults and undead, and even struggle to save life itself.
